Actually, as the Red Sox have pointed out, Boston’s current 4-game slide marks the club’s longest losing streak since dropping the last 8 games of the 2012 season.
And they just came off a prolonged streak that dates back 110 years!!!
The Red Sox went 204 regular season games
between losing streaks of 4 or more games, the 2nd-longest stretch in team
history, with the only other occurring 110 years ago (256 games from
7/19/1902-6/22/1904).
